Educational Qualification (as on 10.07.2025):

  • A **Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) course of two years duration** from the King Institute of Preventive Medicine or any other Government of Tamil Nadu recognized institution.
  • **Alternatively, if candidates with the above qualification are not available, candidates with a Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (one year duration) from Government of Tamil Nadu recognized institutions may be appointed.**

Reservation Policy

Reservation rules and communal rotation policies are applicable as per existing Government of Tamil Nadu orders. Refer to Annexure-2 and 3 of the official notification for detailed instructions.

Key Reservations:

  • **Ex-servicemen:** 5% of posts are reserved in direct recruitment for Group 'C' positions.
  • **Differently Abled Persons:** 4% of posts are reserved for Orthopaedically physically handicapped candidates with locomotory disability of the lower limb (between 40% and 70%).
  • **Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM):** 20% of notified vacancies are preferentially reserved for candidates who have completed their studies through Tamil medium up to the prescribed educational qualification.
  • **Transgender Candidates:** Those identifying as "Female" are considered against both 30% women's reservation and 70% general category. Those identifying as "Male" or "Transgender" are considered against the 70% general category.

MRB Laboratory Technician Grade-II Selection Process

Selection will be based solely on the marks obtained in the candidates' academic and technical qualifications for the Laboratory Technician Grade - II post, adhering to reservation and communal rotation rules. **There will be no oral test (interview) for this position.**

  3. Select "Laboratory Technician Grade - II" as the desired post.

  • Character and Conduct Certificates: one from a Group A or B Government Officer (dated after the current notification) and one from the Head of the Institution last studied.
  • Differently Abled Certificate issued by the competent authority (if applicable).
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Appointing Authority (if currently employed).
  • Signed undertaking and declaration as specified in the notification.
  • Two passport-size color photographs (the same as uploaded in the online application), with name and application number on the reverse.
  • A Government-issued Photo ID card (other than PAN card) with an address matching the online application.
  • Discharge Certificate and PPO No. for Ex-Servicemen, or an undertaking for serving personnel (if applicable).
