RCFL Selection Process 2025

The selection process for the mentioned posts comprises of two stages:

  1. Online Test:
    • Computer-based objective type test.
    • Conducted in Mumbai and Nagpur (Medium: Marathi, Hindi, English).
    • Duration: 90 minutes.
    • Total Questions: 100 (80 Discipline-related, 20 General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning & General Knowledge/Awareness).
    • Total Marks: 200.
    • Negative marking for wrong answers.
    • Candidates with Nil marks or negative marks are ineligible for document verification and skill test.
  2. Skill Test:
    • Qualifying nature.
    • Conducted after the online test.
    • Candidates will be provisionally called in a ratio of 1:7 based on online test performance.
    • No personal interview for workmen category recruitment.
    • Specific skill tests for each post (e.g., Practical Job Knowledge, Handling Technical Equipment, Safety Awareness, Computer Knowledge, Physical Endurance Test for Fireman).
    • Qualifying Marks for Skill Test: 60 marks for OBC, 55 marks for SC/ST (for Operator/Technician Trainee); 55 marks for ST (Boiler Operator); 55 marks for SC (Nurse).

Final Selection:

Merit list will be drawn based on the performance in the online test (100% weightage). In case of a tie in marks, preference will be given based on length of work experience (for certain posts), highest percentage in SSC, and date of birth (older candidate preferred).


RCFL Salary & Other Benefits

During the training period, Operator/Technician Trainees will receive a consolidated stipend. Upon successful completion of training and absorption, employees will be entitled to a comprehensive salary package and other benefits.
