Eligibility & Essential Qualification
Educational Qualification
- Full-time 3-year LLB or 5-year integrated LLB with not less than 60% marks or equivalent CGPA. (Relaxation to 45% for SC/ST/PwBD as per notification.)
Age Limit
Upper age limit: 28 years as on 05 Dec 2025. (Relaxations as per Govt. of India rules for OBC/SC/ST/PwBD etc.)
Reservation & PwBD
Vacancies reserved across categories (UR/OBC/SC/ST) and horizontal reservation for PwBD. Detailed PwBD sub-categories & interchangeability rules are as per the official advertisement.
Application Fee
Non-refundable fee: ₹500 (wherever applicable). SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from fee payment.
Selection Process & Weightage
The selection process is multi-stage. CLAT-2026 (for admission to Post-Graduation) is the mandatory qualifying exam used for shortlisting. POWERGRID will shortlist candidates category-wise for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview based on actual CLAT-2026 marks.
Shortlisting & Minimum CLAT Qualifying Marks
- Unreserved vacancies: minimum CLAT marks for consideration — 40%.
- Reserved vacancies: minimum CLAT marks — 30%.
Weightage for Final Score
- CLAT-2026 marks: 85%
- Group Discussion: 3%
- Personal Interview: 12%
Final Empanelment
Candidates must qualify separately in CLAT-2026 and Personal Interview. Final empanelment will be category-wise in proportion to vacancies and merit order.
Compensation, Bond & Benefits
Compensation
During training: CTC approx. ₹11.00 lakhs p.a. After regularization: CTC approx. ₹22.50 lakhs p.a. (varies by posting/location).
Service Agreement / Bond
Selected candidates must execute a bond to serve for at least 3 years post-training. Bond amount: ₹5,00,000 for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS; ₹2,50,000 for SC/ST/PwBD (plus applicable taxes).
Perks on Regularization
On absorption as Officer (Law) at E-2 level: basic pay, IDA, HRA or company accommodation, PF, gratuity, pension, insurance, medical facilities, laptop/mobile, performance pay and other benefits as per company policy.
