Note: 3% of seats (ITI-9, Non-ITI-2) are reserved under PWD quota. 3% (ITI-9, Non-ITI-2) are reserved for Ex-servicemen and serving soldiers/officers.

Eligibility Criteria (as on 05 August 2025)

Minimum Educational Qualification (as on 05 July 2025):

For Non-ITI: Candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks.
For ITI: Candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks from a recognized Board, AND must have passed ITI in the relevant trades.
Only candidates who have obtained the prescribed qualification before the notification date (05.07.2025) are eligible.

Age Limit (as on 05 August 2025):

For Non-ITI: Candidates must have completed 15 years of age and not be more than 22 years old.
For ITI:
- For most trades (excluding Welder and Carpenter): Completed 15 years of age and not more than 24 years.
- For Welder and Carpenter trades: Completed 15 years of age and not more than 22 years.

BLW Apprentice Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be purely merit-based:

A merit list will be prepared for each unit (ITI & Non-ITI) based on the percentage of marks obtained in the Matriculation Examination (minimum 50% aggregate marks).
For ITI selection, ITI passed candidates will be selected, but their ITI scores will not be given any weightage; only the mark sheet/certificate of the notified trade is required.
In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be preferred.
If dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed the matriculation examination earlier will be preferred.

Selected candidates will undergo apprenticeship training as per the Apprentices Act 1961. Stipend will be paid as per Railway Board's/Labour Ministry instructions.

Candidates must submit only a single online application for either ITI or Non-ITI trade. Applying for both will lead to cancellation of candidature.
Fill in the online application form carefully with all required details.
Upload scanned copies of your certificates (High School marksheet/certificate, ITI marksheet/certificate, Caste certificate if applicable, PWD certificate if applicable, Ex-Servicemen certificate if applicable) in JPG/JPEG/BMP format (100 to 200 KB).
Upload your recent color passport size photograph (background white, 4 cm x 5 cm, with name and date printed on it, clear front view without cap and sunglasses) in JPG format (20 to 50 KB).
Pay the application fee online (₹100 for General/OBC, no fee for SC/ST/PH/Woman candidates) by August 5, 2025 (16:45 Hrs).
Upload the details of the application fee payment on the portal.
Ensure all required documents are uploaded by August 7, 2025 (16:45 Hrs).
It is mandatory to get a registration number from the Regional Directorates of Apprenticeship Training (RDAT) website (www.apprenticeship.gov.in) before training commences.
Keep at least 8 copies of the same photograph for future use.
