Indian Bank Apprentice Selection Process
The selection process for the Indian Bank Apprentice program is designed to identify promising talent:
This will be the primary selection stage. The test will consist of 100 questions for 100 marks, to be completed in a composite time of 60 minutes. There will be negative marking for wrong answers (1/4th of the mark assigned to the question will be deducted).
The test will comprise five sections:
| S.No. | Name of Test | No. of Questions | Maximum Marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Reasoning Aptitude | 15 | 15 |
| 2 | Computer Knowledge | 10 | 10 |
| 3 | English Language | 25 | 25 |
| 4 | Quantitative Aptitude | 25 | 25 |
| 5 | General Awareness with Special Reference to Banking Industry | 25 | 25 |
| Total | 100 | 100 |
The test will be conducted in major regional languages (as decided by the Bank), except for General English. Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be decided by the Bank, with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.
Candidates applying for a particular state must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in any one of the specified local languages of that State. This test will be conducted as part of the selection process after the online test. Candidates who fail this test will not be engaged. However, if you have studied the specified local language in 8th, 10th, or 12th standard (evidenced by mark sheet/certificate), you will be exempted from this test.
The Bank reserves the right to conduct an interview or dispense with it. If conducted, candidates will be required to score a minimum percentage mark on aggregate to qualify.
A state/UT-wise and category-wise merit list will be drawn based on aggregate marks. Candidates will be ranked in descending order. Final engagement is subject to document verification and medical fitness.
