Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025):
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age (Male - Unreserved): 40 Years (49 for Guest Teachers)

- AND any one of the following:
- Higher Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks AND a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / Special Education or equivalent.
- Higher Secondary (10+2) with at least 45% marks AND a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE Regulations 2002).
- Higher Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks AND a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.L.Ed.).
- Graduation AND a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or equivalent.
- Note on Marks: A 5% relaxation in qualifying marks for educational qualifications is provided for SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates.
