Eligibility Criteria (as on July 01, 2025)

Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years
  • Age Relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC-Non-Creamy Layer, where seats are reserved for the particular category.

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate Apprentices: Graduate or equivalent in relevant Engineering/Technology streams (Civil, Electrical, S&T).
  • Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Diploma or equivalent in relevant Engineering/Technology streams (Civil, Electrical, S&T).
  • Candidates should be eligible with respect to educational qualification as on the cut-off date (July 01, 2025).
  • Result awaited/supplementary/back paper candidates need not apply.
  • Candidates who have undergone apprenticeship training in IRCON or any other Organization need not apply.
  • Applicants should not have completed more than three years after passing the qualifying examination as on July 01, 2025 (i.e., candidates who passed their Minimum Educational Qualification in 2025, 2024, 2023, and on or after July 01, 2022, are only eligible to apply).

Stipend:

  • Graduate Apprentices: ₹10,000/- Per Month (Including DBT of ₹4,500/-)
  • Technician (Diploma) Holders: ₹8,500/- Per Month (Including DBT of ₹4,000/-)

Training Duration:

  • One Year. Extension of training after the completion of one year would not be admissible.

Other Conditions:

  • Completion/undergoing of the apprenticeship program does not guarantee any claim for employment with IRCON.
  • Candidates will have to make their own stay arrangements.
  • Candidates who have undergone training or job experience of one year or more after completing their education will not be considered eligible.

IRCON Apprentice Selection Process

The selection process for IRCON Apprenticeship is straightforward and merit-based:

Step 1: Merit-Based Shortlisting

There will be **no interviews** for this recruitment. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted solely on the basis of a merit list formed based on the marks secured in their essential Educational Qualification.

If CGPA/OGPA/DGPA is mentioned in mark sheets, candidates must provide the equivalent percentage of marks as per their university/institute norms. A certificate to this effect may be required at the time of document verification.

Step 2: Information to Shortlisted Candidates

The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the IRCON website. Call letters for document verification would be sent by email only to the registered email IDs.

Step 3: Document Verification & Medical Fitness

Candidates shortlisted will have to produce all original testimonials/certificates at the time of verification. Any false information or mismatch found will lead to cancellation of candidature and potential prosecution.

Additionally, candidates will have to produce a certificate of medical fitness before joining.

Step 2: Online Application (IRCON Portal)

Visit IRCON's official website: www.ircon.org. Navigate to "Careers" → "HR & Career" → "Engagement of Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961".

If you are a new user: Create an account using your personal Email ID and Mobile number and set a password. Login credentials will be sent to your registered email ID. Remember your User ID (Email ID) and password.

If you are an existing user: Simply login using your existing credentials.

After logging in, read the instructions carefully. Then, fill in all required details: Post Selection, Personal Details, Education Details, Experience Details, etc.

Step 3: Upload Documents

You will need to upload the following documents while applying online. Keep them handy in the specified format and size:

  • Date of Birth Proof: 10th Matriculation Certificate (2 MB in PDF)
  • Educational Qualification Proof: Mark sheets and Degree Certificates (Matric onwards up to highest level for each semester/year). Proof of conversion factor for CGPA/OGPA to percentage if applicable (2 MB in PDF).
  • Caste/Tribe Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL): In prescribed format. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates must submit the latest certificate (2 MB in PDF).
  • EWS Certificate: Latest category certificate from Competent Authority (2 MB in PDF).
